Sunday September 14th
We all knew that the Sunday service would be the climax of the trip, but we had no idea of the blessings that the Lord had in store for us.
After the opening prayer, the singing and worship service commenced. The songs seemed to flow from our hearts as the Holy Spirit was made welcome inside the building. Young people from churches in the UK combined to sing the stirring special, "Who Is On The Lord's Side?" It was obvious from the spirit that came from their song, that they were definitely “on the Lord's side.” Then another group made up of different churches in France began to sing; the sound was breathtaking as they sang in perfect harmony and unity to the Lord.
After the beautiful songs of worship, Brother Jeremy Evans announced the guest speaker: Brother William Branham! The sermon, “The Voice Of The Sign” was played in three languages, Italian, English, and French, with the Italian and French translation playing simultaneously with the English through wireless headphones. The message stirred our souls, as Brother Branham expounded on his theme of the importance of listening to the Voice that follows the sign.
At the end of the sermon, Brother Jeremy asked if anyone wished to rededicate their life to the Lord, and invited them to come forward. We swarmed around the altar, packed the aisles, and those who could not get into the aisles simply knelt at their chairs. We all wanted to rededicate our lives to the Lord! The pastors, who had been sitting in the back of the service, were then asked if they would come and pray for the youth as they knelt in prayer. The Holy Spirit moved throughout the building, and we could feel that our Heavenly Father was there with us.
After the service was dismissed, many of us stayed in the auditorium. We just couldn't leave that precious Presence. Over an hour later, the last one walked out into the lobby and gathered with the rest of the group to eat lunch together for one last time before the camp was dismissed. The thought on our hearts was best expressed in the song: "Til we meet again."
A short while later, a young Italian sister requested to be baptized. The brothers approached the hotel staff about using one of their swimming pools for the baptism. One of the managerial staff replied that she had been baptized in Israel, and the hotel would be happy to lend a swimming pool for this use! Brother Gordon Tutani then had the honor of baptizing her in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. A fitting end to an incredible service.
