Standing By His Promise Thursday, October 16, 2008

I wanted to share my 13 year old daughter's testimony:

When Alyssa went to the doctor with back pain a few weeks ago, the doctor saw a slight curve in her spine and diagnosed her with scoliosis. We had the church pray for her, and we were all praying for her at home as well.

On Sunday, she went with her daddy to a church in Georgia. They heard a few testimonies; one in particular was a man telling how he and his wife were lactose intolerant. The man said that after years of this, the wife said she was not going to take her medicine, and that she was going to give it to God. As of now, 2 weeks later, she was not needing her medicine.

Alyssa heard that, and she came home and told me that it made her cry. She said that God could take away her curve and heal her too. She was going to believe it and hold on to it.

We went to the pediatric orthopedic doctor today. After the doctor examined her, he said that she had a slight curve. Then he left the room so she could prepare for x-rays. While he was gone, we talked about the ladies testimony that Alyssa had heard, and she said again that she would hold on to God's promise.

The doctor then did the x-rays. And when he came back with the results, we all stood and looked at a perfect spine! He said she did NOT have a curve, and that she was in perfect health! She will need to have therapy on her back muscles, but she is healed by God's Power and Word.

We are praising God and thanking Him with all of our hearts for standing by His promise.

God Bless to you all
