Sunday In Romania
Sunday, August 31, 2008
Still working off the adrenaline from the night before, the Romanian youth were up for an early breakfast, then went straight into the chapel area for a very special guest speaker on Sunday morning. After an introduction and a few songs of worship, Brother Gerald introduced Brother Branham. As the young believers heard the sermon “The Voice Of The Sign“ in their own language, it became clear that this Message is truly universal. Whether you are white, black, American, Romanian, or anything else, this Message is for you. The Holy Spirit is the same in Romania as it is in your home town. The Romanians hear the same Message that you hear and they believe every word of it, just like you do.
Following the Message, four young Romanian believers wanted to be baptized. Brother Israel led the young brothers and sisters to a nearby creek, with a couple dozen believers following them. While these young Christians were giving their hearts to the Lord, many were saying their goodbyes. The camp was coming to a close and the teary eyes made it clear that new friendships had been made over the past couple of days. It was tough to say goodbye to people who you may never see in this world again. But, the promise of getting to spend eternity with these precious believers made it a lot easier.
We thank the Lord for such a wonderful time of fellowship last week. It is wonderful to see that the same Holy Spirit that works in our home, is working across the world.
The following are a few of the testimonies that we received about the camp:
“A year ago, I was checking the web site www.branham.org, and I read the article about a youth meeting in Jeffersonville. While I was watching the photos taken at the banquet I just took a deep breath and told to myself…well that is in America…Now I am so happy to say “ well that is in Romania!!!”…I can watch the photos every day and say that happened to us, the young believers in Romania. Special youth meetings in Romania especially for each of us, every single boy and every single girl could have the attention of Brothers from VGR European Office and the Brothers from Jeffersonville. Every one was involved in the camp’s activities and we had such a great time playing all those games.
For the first time I felt like there was only One Spirit, and that Sweet Spirit was the Spirit of UNITY. Is that because of the T-shirts with motto: “United In Christ”? Or, maybe the fire camp? Or the games we played together? The Banquet? The testimonies? Well the answer should be somewhere…I believe with all my heart that the Presence of God was right there with us and that’s the answer!
Everything was so nicely organized and we had a good atmosphere. I believe the secret of the best youth meetings is that everybody to be IN, to be a big team, to be ONE. I love the photos with us wearing the green shirts… That’s a beautiful view of the young believers from Romania.
What to say about the special guest for this camp…Sunday morning in the church service Brother Branham preached “The Voice Of The Sign”.Oh How I liked that!!! We enjoyed…we all enjoyed that. That was such an honor!!! God spoke to us through His prophet William Branham…we really received something in this camp; we really got something! we were reached by the Holy Spirit! I am so sure about this because I feel It, I see It! I have It!”
“this camp was so simple, so different that we knew before, It was for us indeed!”
“ I feel like I have to change things in my life, I have to read more, I have to live more the Christian life”
“this time I felt God, it was different, it was in the way I like to feel the presence of the Lord”
“In this camp I felt Important…”
“…we all felt important, when we think that we received such a blessing and so many people worked to afford us a time as we had in this camp of course we feel important. We are so thankful to everybody who did such an effort to give us this opportunity!”
“Thank You! And May The Lord Bless You All!
Thank You Brother Joseph because you did this for us!
Thank you! Thank You! Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
