Cub Corner Trip Wednesday, July 30, 2008

Were they green or were they yellow? No one could figure it out, so we decided to call them “grellow”. Either way, they were very bright and easy to spot in a crowd. This feature proved to be very useful this past Monday when nearly 60 Jeffersonville YF kids piled out of a bus at Holiday World.

Rides, games, and then more rides were the order of the day, but there was something that separated these young men and ladies from the regular theme park crowd. It wasn't only their “grellow” shirts, but their sweet, kind spirit and joyous attitudes. Over and over again, the chaperones received compliments about what a nice bunch of young adults they had. We agree! These 8-12 year olds were a great example of how young brothers and sisters should act.

The Lord provided a beautiful day of wonderful fellowship and fun; the kids provided the smiles and laughter. Rumor has it that more than one kid lost their voice from laughing too hard; we think screaming on the roller coasters may have played more than a small role in their temporary condition.
