How The Angel Came To Me

What if you were sitting alone in the darkness of your room praying or reading this blog, when all at once you see an emerald colored Light circling above you like a whooshing fire? It would be frightening. Imagine the soft sound of bare footsteps coming nearer the entrance of the room where the Light just entered. As they approach closer, you see the foot of a Man become visible in the single spot of Light on the floor.

Following the footsteps, comes a Man about two-hundred pounds with His hands folded across His chest. You would be paralyzed, and your heart would all but fail, just as Brother Branham’s did. You wouldn’t know whether He be a friend or foe until you’d see the pleasant look on His face and hear His deep, familiar Voice speak out the words, “Do not Fear, I am sent from the Presence of Almighty God."

Brother Branham heard this same Voice that came from the mouth of the Angel of the Lord throughout his entire life. From the time he was a young boy and all through his childhood, he had seen the Light and heard Him speak. But it wasn’t until the spring of 1946 that Brother Branham saw, for the first time, the Angelic Being who had spoken to him for so long.

It was a life-changing experience for Brother Branham. During this visitation by the Angel of the Lord, God gave Brother Branham his commission that would be carried out to the world through his ministry. He was told by the Angel that he was born into this world for the purpose of that commission.
