America
We've posted several of Brother Branham's favorite recipes throughout the history of the website, but now we're going to venture out a little and try some recipes from abroad. Since it's spring time, we're going to start out with a good old-fashioned American hamburger and potato salad recipe. After this, we are hoping that you, our fellow Young Foundations members in the US and over seas, will send us some of your favorite recipes to post on the web and share with the world. Hopefully we'll get the chance to post some good ethnic recipes from the cultures many of us have never experienced before. So don't be shy about getting into mom's or grandma's recipe book and sending us your favorite dish; whether it be a full course meal or a satisfying dessert.
Hamburgers
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 minced garlic clove
- Seasoned salt and pepper to taste
Preparation: Pour and thoroughly mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl. Form the hamburger mixture into 6 or 7 even patties. Place on grill and grill for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until done as desired. Don't forget the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and all the other desired toppings.
Potato Salad
- 7 medium sized potatoes, peeled and cubed into small squares
- 4 hard boiled eggs, diced
- 1/2 cup diced sweet pickles, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 3/4 cup miracle whip/mayonnaise, or to consistency
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation: Cook cubed potatoes submersed in a large pan of boiling water for approx. 15-20 minutes, or until slightly tender. Combine the potatoes, eggs, and pickles. Add and gently stir in miracle whip or mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Serves 6 to 7.
Enjoy!
Don't forget to send in your favorite recipes. We're really counting on you young people from different cultures and other countries to give us some new recipes to post and try out.
