What Is A Prayer Cloth

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Even before the time of the Apostle Paul, great miracles were being performed by God through His prophets and servants. By way of the clothing or substances they touched, God would intervene. Elijah commanded the Shunamite women to lay his staff upon her son because he knew that whatever he touched was blessed by God. Brother Branham said that that’s where Paul got it from. The people believed him to be God’s prophet and servant. He brought the handkerchiefs and aprons from his body to the sick, and they received it and were healed. Just like Elijah, Paul knew that whatever he touched was blessed. God is the same yesterday, and today, and forever, and He performed the same miracles through His prophet Brother Branham.
Brother Branham told us that prayer cloths were little, Scriptural tokens in commemoration of Divine Healing. He said that when you or a loved one gets sick to lay it on them and say,
“God, this represents the prayer of faith that’s been prayed in my behalf.” “The little baby gets up some night sick, someone gets hurt, take that cloth and lay it on them, and watch what happens. Just believe. See? And that'll be your token.”
Not only were prayer cloths often used when Brother Branham was here, but there was a universal prayer going around the world. Every three hours, starting at nine, then twelve, and then three o-clock, Eastern Daylight Standard time, Christians around the world would pray. He said,
“People down in Africa, get up at midnight to offer up prayer at that time. “When, I guess, around a million voices break forth together. Something has to happen. Don't you believe so...?... When... Just think of it.”
Like Elijah and Paul, whatever Brother Branham touched was blessed of God. Praying for the sick was something God called him to do. The Angel of the Lord told Brother Branham that if he could get the people to believe him, then nothing would stand before his prayer. Time and time again his gift from God was manifested and proven. Those who were blind, lame, deaf, and cancerous were healed. Not even death could stand before the prayers of God's prophet. It’s no wonder that millions of people around the world requested the prayer cloths he prayed over. Brother Branham had a great, world-wide ministry through prayer cloths. Every week his secretary sent out thousands of them that he had personally taken before the Lord and prayed over. They were offered to the public at no cost. He said there was almost a greater ministry in the prayer cloths than in anything else.
Those who received the prayer cloths or a prayed over handkerchief also received a short mimeographed letter from Brother Branham. It explained the purpose of prayer cloths and the correct process of using them. Brother Branham told us that we should keep the prayer cloths in our Bibles in the nineteenth chapter of the Book of Acts until we are in need of them.
We have placed a copy of the letter on this page so that you can read it and copy it if you would choose. We pray it is a blessing to you and will be of good use, as it has been for millions of others. It's as simple as believing. Countless miracles were performed during Brother Branham's ministry, and continue to this day. How thankful we are that God is still with us, and this Message is still alive.
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
