God's Man
Thursday, July 10, 2008
This is a poem that was sent in to Young Foundations.
They've always tried to stop him.
The man whom God will use.
He's fine when bringing miracles
'cause he draws people to "their" pews.
It's when he starts his preaching
they'll turn up their nose
It's not that he is wrong
It's that he's stepping on their toes.
Look back at Jesus Christ
He healed the lame and deaf
But when He preached forgiveness
they sought to bring Him death.
And take a look at Moses
From bondage he did lead
But surely he was not
the only one that heard God speak.
Samuel was a prophet
yet the people wanted Saul
A prophet was alright a while
but a king should rule them all.
And building such a boat
made no sense at all
there's no water in the sky
how on earth could it fall?
Time and time again
people turn the prophets down.
But there are a few that always
stand behind him, firm and proud.
These few people treasure
every word their prophet speaks
They listen and they follow
everywhere he leads.
Why is it? You may question.
Aren't they following a man?
They are following God's prophet,
'cause they know he has God's plan.
So with them I stand proudly,
behind God's chosen ONE
And his Word I view as Gospel,
for I know from were it comes.
If all this is confusing
let me make it very plain
I stand full behind God's prophet
and Branham is his name.
