Go Tell
April 17, 1960
“Go tell” seems like a pretty simple command. It’s not lengthy or complicated by any means. But what is it we must go tell? “Go tell My disciples that I’m risen from the dead.” Go tell it. “He’s alive.” Jesus Christ is alive, and He’s just as great and powerful as He ever was.

Tomb
Over two-thousand years ago the Son of God died a death that would mark a new life for every person that ever has or will live. He died and was buried in a tomb just like any other man. But the difference was, He could not be bound by the grave. He arose on Easter morning. He defeated death, hell, and the grave, and resurrected on the third day to fulfill the promises that were prophesied and recorded in God's Holy Scriptures. The God of Heaven humbled Himself in the lowly form of a man, suffered every pain and temptation man could suffer, and died on a cross of shame to redeem us. And He simply instructed us to "go tell." Go tell that He’s alive and living in the hearts of man.
His death, burial, and resurrection perfectly typed what every man, woman, or child must do in order to gain eternal life with Him. We must suffer as Christ suffered, die out to ourselves and this world, and then we are born again in Christ Jesus and will join Him in the glorious resurrection of His Bride. We are free from the shackles of sin, free from sickness, free from smoking, drinking, and all other habits, because the Son of God has risen from the grave and broken every fetter. What a wonderful promise. Why wouldn’t we want to go tell all the world about such a mighty Redeemer. We have the opportunity to obtain eternal life and to impart it to others if only we’ll “go tell.”
Brother Branham said:
“And we are His witnesses. And if we don't stand for Him, who is going to stand for Him?”
“Who's going to tell it? Somebody has got to tell it. Jesus said, “Go tell…”
We can enjoy Easter today because we have joined in and have the fellowship of His resurrection. That’s why Easter means so much to us as born again Christians. We are no longer bound by sin. God has forgiven us of our sins and given us the Seal of the Holy Ghost. All the things of the world have passed away. We have one objective: serve Him. We have one desire: love Him, be His disciple, go tell.
