YF Banquet Tuesday, December 18, 2007

November and December were busy months for the local YF kids. First they prepared and served supper for the local elderly and widowed. The following week they stormed local neighborhoods raking leaves and cleaning gutters. After that, the little ones turned in their Jesus Jars and bought Bibles for needy kids overseas. Finally, this past weekend the older YF kids had a banquet and turned in their Jesus Jar money for a motorcycle they purchased for Brother Tshibangu, a missionary in Congo.

The banquet was a hit with the local kids. The food was excellent and the fellowship even better. They had the privilege of watching some home videos of Brother Branham while Brother Joseph narrated them. At the end of the banquet the young men and young ladies heard a thank you message from Brother Tshibangu. He told of how he must walk for months in order to reach some of the most remote places in Africa. The sincerity of his words could really be felt. It was a proud moment for the youth who had joined forces to accomplish this worthwhile task.

Here is an excerpt from an email that we received regarding the banquet:

This evening was so special and wonderful, it won't soon be forgotten! The close fellowship; knowing that we had all accomplished our goal together; good food, and the HOME VIDEOS!!! made for one powerful evening that was sooo hard to see come to an end! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! From the bottom of my heart...

Before calling it quits for the night, the YF staff rolled out a brand new motorcycle customized with Young Foundations decals and saddle bags that will be mounted to the bike to carry the Word! Each kid signed the saddlebags that will soon be riding through the Jungles of Africa. What a blessing for the youth, Brother Tshibangu, and those who will receive The Message of the Hour because of the efforts of these young believers.

E-6 "When I..." Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto Me." See? And that's why I go through America here, is trying, without taking an offering, just the free will people, whenever they want to give me something, till I get enough money together to take off over there to win a few thousand souls to Christ. Then at the day of the judgment, you'll be credited for it, 'cause the Lord commissioned me to go, and you're helping me to go. So that's--that'll make us all in with it on that day. Won't you be glad to know that that day, when it comes, and it's all over, and what a great time it'll be then to set down... 59-0416 – El Shaddai
