Leaves, leaves and more leaves!

In all, about 300 bags of leaves were collected by the local Jeffersonville YF kids. The day began at 7:00 AM at the Voice of God Recordings. After a sugar-filled breakfast and a word of prayer by Brother Joseph, we piled into the vans and set off for a day of hard work and fellowship.
House after house, kids rolled out of the vans, grabbed their tools, and went to work. A wave of kids all dressed in matching sweatshirts making short work of acres of dead leaves is a real impressive sight!
After each yard was groomed and cleaned, the kids would form a tunnel for the owners to walk through. With young men on one side, young ladies on the other, and rakes in the air touching each other at the tip, the elderly saints walked through to the sound of cheering Christians. A quick stop for a picture, and it was time to load up and head out for the next yard.
While driving from one house to another, a volley of Christian songs were exchanged via walkie-talkie between the vans. One van would start a song over the portable radio, and then the next van picked up where the first left off. This beautiful medley brought a sweet spirit that stayed with us throughout the day.
For the YF crew, it was an opportunity to do something for someone who could use a little help while enjoying each others' fellowship. The event was an enormous success!! Thanks to all those who participated.
