A Season for Giving
Monday, November 26, 2007
Many young men and women in the Jeffersonville area are truly giving back this season. The 13-25 year old brothers and sisters have pooled their Jesus Jar money to buy a dirt-bike for an overseas missionary. This missionary, Brother Alfred Tshibangu from Kisangani, Congo has to walk miles upon miles into some of the most remote jungles in the world to get this Message to God's Bride. He brings this life-giving Message to men, women, and children just like you who are eager and willing to receive It. There is no way to travel into these remote places outside of walking or riding a motorcycle. Now he walks, but soon he will ride!
There are many more missionaries around the world that are in need. Their needs may be something as simple as a suit of clothes or a pair of shoes, or possibly a dirt-bike, or even a bicycle; anything to help get this Message to the predestinated Seed of God, which will help benefit the Kingdom of God.
We may not be able to travel to the jungles of the Amazon or the African bush, but we all have the opportunity to be a missionary. Brother Branham said,
And you know, when... I believe that every Christian is obligated to be a missionary. I believe every Christian is obligated. Now, not so much as you have to go over in the old countries and preach or something. But if you can't go, you can help send somebody else.
There are missionaries in the world today that are walking for days at a time to bring the Gospel to their fellow countrymen. We have the chance to make it a little easier for these brothers to do their work. The motorcycle that the group of young people in Jeffersonville was able to purchase will soon be carrying the precious Word of God into the jungles of the Congo. Each one of these young people is responsible for every package that is delivered on that motorcycle. Praise the Lord!
This same opportunity is available to the young people in your area. There is strength in numbers, and a group of brothers and sisters working towards one common goal is a powerful force. This could also be an opportunity to gather together with friends that you may not have seen in some time. It doesn’t matter what church you go to, who your friends are, or even where you live; this is an opportunity to get together under one purpose: Spreading the Gospel. You might find that the blessings will fall even more on the giver than the receiver.
We will be happy to work with any group that has a burden for the overseas missionary field. If you would like to organize an effort in your area, feel free to email us and we will give you information on missionaries in need.
But oh my, if there's anyone needs help, it's a poor missionary on—on the far flung fronts there where he has to go up against everything; and especially those who are battling the battle with the supernatural.
