Telling My Testimony Tuesday, October 16, 2007

My name is Thiago Matheus, and I live in the city of São José dos Campos-SP-Brazil. I would like to tell my testimony of resurrection and healing.

On June 31, 2007, I had a sudden brain spasm that caused all the muscles of my body to contract provoked by a virus in my brain. Since the spasms did not cease with normal doses of sedative, the doctors used the last degree of more powerful medicine to quiet me. They had to drain my brain beyond giving me the medicine to diminish the pressure inside my head. The spasms had caused my brain to swell, and I fell in a coma, thus remaining for almost thirty days.

All the medical team that took care of me was already certain of my death, except the neurologist, who, for not having a last examination in his hands, did not want to determine the death of my brain since my body did not react to any stimulation. I came back from the coma through prayers. When I looked at my side, I saw written in big red letters, the word UTI (Intensive Care Unity). From there on I began to worry, not about me, but about my family. Now you ask me, "Why didn’t you worry about yourself?"

I would soon answer: "I am baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and, brother, with the faith that this Word produces in our hearts, nothing could touch me, or even shake me. And God, Who is rich in mercy, strengthened my family, my friends and especially me." I was baptized 45 days before this health problem by Pastor José Antero, who gave a special attention to me during all this time and also to my family. On a certain day, I stood almost five minutes without breathing, my body not presenting any vital function.

Then, according to the doctors, I was dead. It would take much of your time to tell each detail of each day and of each moment I went through. I know many worried about me, but, I can affirm that the presence of God is tremendous, there’s no way to explain It. Still in coma, one day I saw the Lord Jesus there in the UTI. It is almost incredible, but He blew in my ears, and it was as if He said thus: "Son, believe Me, you are healed!" Alleluia! I give this testimony for the Glory of God and am glad that I knew this Message and the messenger of this last Church Age.
