Witnesses

October 04, 1956

Over the years, Brother Branham traveled throughout the United States and around the world spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Although there were many churches that did not get to see him very often, there were a few places that he revisited quite frequently. When not at home at the Branham Tabernacle, Brother Branham was often found holding meetings in Chicago, Illinois. Here he would speak to Brother Joseph Boze and his congregation, along with neighboring churches and believers.

Brother Branham and Brother Boze
Brother Joseph Mattsson-Boze was the pastor of the Philadelphian Immigrant Church in Chicago, and always opened up his doors for Brother Branham to come and preach to the people. With his thick Swedish accent, he always liked to compliment Brother Branham during the meetings, and considered him a precious friend who he loved dearly. The crowds would often be too large to hold the meetings at the Philadelphian Church, so they would take the services over to the large auditorium at the Lane Tech High School. This is where Brother Branham preached many sermons and where he preached the message, "Witnesses."

Brother Boze also launched the Herald of Faith mission to Africa in 1958 after he resigned as pastor, which led to the Herald of Faith Journal. Brother Boze published monthly articles about Brother Branham’s ministry until the Lord called Brother Branham home in 1965.

Moses

Many miraculous things took place during the sermon Brother Branham preached on October 10, 1956 titled, "Witnesses." In this message, he brings out many of the witnesses of old whose testimonies we draw strength from and believe today. Moses witnessed God's mighty Hand deliver the Hebrews out of the hand of Pharaoh. Daniel and the Hebrew children were witnesses that God can deliver despite all adversary. And even nature itself is a witness to God. There were people during this service who were witnesses that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and there are still those today who can give witness that His almighty power still reigns and lives in our hearts.
