This Day This Scripture Is Fulfilled

February 19, 1965

It was there, toward the front of the congregation near the center isle, where the young man took his seat. There he prepared himself in prayer and meditation. As the time drew near and the powerful presence of the Lord began to fill the room, he anxiously waited for the prophet to come forth and deliver the message. With a full crowd and a stage lined with ministers, the prophet stepped onto the platform.

Brother Branham stood in the pulpit and searched for his Scripture: The Gospel of St. John, the 16th chapter, and the 20th verse. He began to read, but it wasn’t the 16th chapter from which he was reading. The young man in the audience looked into his Bible, but he read a different Scripture than the prophet was reading. There was a hush across the packed crowd as Brother Branham turned back and forth in his Bible, yet still could not find the right text. It seemed there was a misprint in his new Bible.

All the eyes of the people were fixed upon Brother Branham, when the young man looked to his left to see a Catholic archbishop, with his priestly burgundy robe and gold crosses, approach the pulpit. An unmistakable presence was felt; he was obviously a man of great authority. He softly spoke to Brother Branham words that could not be plainly heard, and then handed his Bible to the prophet. Brother Branham read the verse, St. John 16:20-21

Brother Branham went on to preach the Message "Birth Pains." Yet little did the people realize that they were witnessing Scripture being fulfilled that day, January 24, 1965 in Phoenix, Arizona.

This great day in history was later explained by Brother Branham in the Message, "This Day This Scripture Is Fulfilled," preached only three weeks after "Birth Pains." Brother Branham speaks of Luke, chapter four when Jesus Christ was standing in the synagogue and was handed the Holy Scriptures by the priest.

And the priest gave Him the Scriptures to read, and He read Isaiah 61. And when He had read the Scriptures, He set down; handed the priest back the Bible, the Book, and sat down. And all the eyes of the congregation was upon Him. And precious Words proceeded from His mouth. And He said, 'This day this Scripture is fulfilled.' 'This day this Scripture is fulfilled.'

Brother Branham says in this message,
"I’ve read the Scripture, with a dozen or more evidences that we’re living in the last day, the generation that will see Jesus Christ return to the earth. And I say unto you tonight, again, this day this Scripture is fulfilled in your sight."
>Truly Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We hope that all of our brothers and sisters in Christ were blessed by the previous message, "The Seed Is Not Heir With The Shuck." We will continue to feast from the honey in the rock as we move on to this following message, also preached at the Park View Junior High School on February 19, 1965, "This Day This Scripture Is Fulfilled."
