The Seed Is Not Heir With The Shuck
February 18, 1965
It was the evening of Thursday, February 18th, 1965. Many believers had gathered together with great expectations to hear God’s prophet speak the message, "The Seed Is Not Heir With The Shuck." This message was the first in a series of five messages that Brother Branham preached at the Parkview Junior High School in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and would lead to the climax message of "Marriage and Divorce." There was a definite feeling of reverence and sincerity amongst the people during this time of eager anticipation, when life-changing truth and revelation would be revealed. Thousands had filled the school auditorium this night and throughout the series, and many more listened in across the nation over the phone lines to hear the message that marked the beginning of this four-day message of the Lord.
Some thirty years prior to the time this message was to be preached, the ground on which Parkview Junior High would stand was nothing more than an old broom sedge field. But it was on these very same grounds that Brother Branham had knelt down on a warm summer’s night to pray for the soul of his father, when he suddenly arose to look up towards the east and saw a vision of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As always in the messages that Brother Branham preached, "The Seed is not Heir with the Shuck" so plainly tells how we, as the called out Bride of Jesus Christ, are so wondrously identified with the true Seed of God that manifested every promise that God made in the Bible. In order for this true Seed to come forth and fully mature, everything else must first die; just as the stalk and tassels must die in order for a
Shuck and Seedgrain of wheat to come to full maturity. If you have ever wondered how close the natural shuck of the wheat is to the actual wheat grain itself, you can look at this picture and see.
But if you wish to know just how close the two spirits will be in these last days, the church spirit of the church people and the Bride Spirit of the Bride people, read the Scriptures, ("...insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."), and listen to this message, "The Seed Is Not Heir With The Shuck."
Come and join us now, along with thousands of other young believers from around the world, as we identify ourselves with Jesus Christ, Brother Branham, and one another, and go back to the night of February 18th, 1965 to revisit Parkview Junior High and hear once again the unadulterated Word of God in these last days; the Voice of Brother William Marrion Branham.
