Cookie the Kitten
Thursday, June 21, 2007
My daddy pulled his truck out of the garage and ran over little “Cookie,” my kitten.
The kitty just layed in the driveway and didn’t move. She tried to move by dragging her back end, but she couldn’t move.
It was getting dark, so mommy wrapped the kitty in an old blanket, took it to the barn, and laid it in a wheelbarrow with hay.
On Saturday morning, me and mommy went to the barn and checked on kitty. She hadn’t eaten or drank any of her food or water. It looked like she hadn’t moved all night. But she was still alive lying in the wheelbarrow.
Sunday morning, we went to church. During Sunday School, I asked Sister Ferris, my Sunday School teacher, if I could put a prayer request in for Cookie, my kitty. I explained to the class about what happened, and that I wanted my kitty to be healed like Jesus had done when Brother Branham prayed for the Mommy Opossum.
So, Sister Ferris had the children bow their heads, and we prayed for Cookie.
When we got home from church, I went straight to the barn and my little kitty was walking around. She had eaten and drank, and acted like nothing had ever happened.
Always call on the Name of the Lord if anything is wrong, and He will answer your prayers. The Lord answered my prayer for Little Cookie.
